Wooster, OH to Niles, OH Day 13, 94 Miles Completed, Over 1000 Miles Biked
The ride from Wooster to Niles had many hills and beat me up like a bully in a schoolyard. It was not as bad as yesterday, but it was quite challenging. And when you complete 3 centuries in a row with another 90 mile day tomorrow, it just physically takes a lot out of you.
Tomorrow will be my last ride with the group. Since we will have a rest day on the day after tomorrow, and no briefing tomorrow night, the course tomorrow during the day may be the last place I'll ever see some of these people. Some of us are going to a minor league baseball game in Erie, PA tomorrow, so I'm hoping that I'll have a chance to give a proper goodbye. If you have been following the blog, then you might remember some of the personal stories of the riders. I won't go through them again, but in the 13 days that we have spent together, to say that I am impressed would be an understatement. I am honored and humbled to have spent this time with them. And as I wrote yesterday, they have taught me a lot.
I will enter Pennsylvania tomorrow, my 6th State after biking 90+ miles from my current location. If you would have asked me two months ago if I could bike 400 miles in four days, I would have thought your query to be ridiculously misdirected. I still have a big day tomorrow and a couple big days on the road by myself, but I know now, like with many other things in my life, that where there is a plan and the will, amazing things are possible.

Same car that I drove in high school. I bought it from my neighbor for $300!

Thank you for all of your support!
