This week I shipped my bike off to the Fairfield Inn in Topeka, Kansas. Shipping it out made the trip more real for me. It's hard to believe that decades of dreaming and months of training have come down to just 3 more days before I leave. On Wednesday, June 5th, I will board the plane and take a one way flight to the middle of America.
I contacted the folks at the hotel and they promised to look for my bike and keep it safe. I'm just hoping that it arrives without issue. At this point, all I know is that it's in a truck somewhere between Hagerstown, MD and Kansas.
